Full Housing
My own interest in cheap housing ideas because I've never liked having a job, or working too many hours per week. I worked full time for perhaps just nine months in my life (I'm 43), and it was sometimes necessary to keep my expenses low. My first house was a mobile home in a small lot in a town in northern Michigan. Payments of $ 257 was quite easy for a while, but I paid the mortgage early during an exceptional period of 30 hours per week (almost full time for me).
However, it was just a cheap home buyer – I was also a supplier. I rented the other rooms of the mobile home. Thus, I lived free, and even had a little extra income after paying household expenses. He also built a cabin for $ 250, carpet and put in a light, and then sometimes rented out for $ 50 a week – now that is a good ROI (return on investment).
In Mexico, when he was 17, a group of factory workers gave me a tour and let me spend the night in extra bed (I was hitchhiking). They had a flat plastic futuristic, large enough for four bunk beds and not much else. In the bathroom, floor, toilet and bath were made from one continuous piece of molded plastic. Outside, the reasons had tennis courts and cement paths with benches, that wound through flower beds.
An efficiently designed 300 square meters of apartments only works for young people. If such construction was banned in some parts of the United States (there was only one door and the issues other source), these types of apartments likely could solve some problems. With twenty of them in a small estate, an investor could earn money renting them out for $ 240 per month including services. From four single men or young women, this would be only $ 60 each or $ 15 per week. That is really a cheap housing.
Other ideas for cheap housing
In places where no snow load of great worry, shop style housing, as used in the steppes of Mongolia would be fine. Walls and ceilings normal cost much, but the insulating material to be a fraction of the cost. Even if it needed to be replaced every 12 years could cost much less than using traditional walls and ceilings.
There was an indoor ice rink in our local Park years before I realized that its roof was supported by air pressure alone. It worked pretty well, so I wonder if this type of construction can be used for homes as well. Think inflatable houses …
What about 10-by-12-foot cube rooms that fit easily in many different ways? A buyer starts with a bucket of bath, kitchen, a bucket and a bucket of room, and then add more as he can afford. Having them pre-made with a uniform design to keep costs down. The electric-built and ready to plug into the hub of the next room.
My friend was kicked out of the house he built in their own land, because it was not large enough to meet the county building code. We found however that was lawful for the field of his property in a recreational vehicle, but was smaller than his hut. It makes me wonder if an entrepreneur could buy 40 used recreational vehicles for $ 4,000 each, put them on a piece of land, then rent them to low-income tenants. We call it "camping", and this idea of cheap housing may be well with the authorities.
